Default Need Struts

Hi! I’m curious about whether the wheelbase affects the struts at all? I have a 2011 FX4 and was looking to get struts from a 2010 Lariat, but my WB is 145 and the 2010’s WB is 157. Does this mean the struts won’t fit?

Better question is - why do you want 14 year old struts?

They will bolt up just fine. All 09-13's attach the same way. However there might be some springrate differences if you're snagging the complete strut and spring assemblies off another truck. Also there are height differences if the 2010 is a 2wd.

Default Check/match springs.

I believe there are at least four different spring rates used in 2011.

Probably getting used aftermarket struts from a '10.
