Talking Need some direction on lift kits

Ok so I'm new to the truck world and i have a 2010 XLT 4.6L. I want to do a 6 inch lift with 20 inch rims on some 35's. Would I have to change gears ratio's or anything like that? Just wondering b.c I was talking to someone that was saying I would have to do that since its not a 4X4 and I'm not sure if he really knows what hes talkin about. If i dont what would be some kits to look at? As much input would be greatly appreciated.

You might not have to change gears if you are 3.73:1. Look at the chart at http://www.4lo.com/calc/geartable.htm so you can see what is recommended.

it depends on the gears you have now. 3.73s would be the minimum for 35's. It will do better with 4.10s. and the best would be 4.56s.
