Just got the bazooka tube 6 1/2 sub all in one deal. Sounds awesome. I had it installed due to a trip and time restraints, but its a pretty easy install to do yourself. I paid 333 total for the tube and install and tax. I've had the big system sound in the past. I wasn't looking for that, but this adds just the right amount of bass.

Here's a question for you...i assume you "ditched your factory radio." Does the aux input still work? Or do you just use the one on the aftermarket?

Yeah, like you I am not really interest in the big system sound. I spent close to $5000 on a system quite a while ago, but I just don't keep a vehicle long enough to be bothered anymore. Most I the time I've got my toddler in the truck so big sound is NOT what I want right now. Just would like to improve it a little. Think I'll just get some decent door speakers and try to tune the door panels a bit. Was hoping for an easy out, but such is life. I'll drop the factory speakers in my boat, even they would be improvement for the sorry stereo in that!

I have an 8 inch JL Microsub. If you are looking for deep, rich bass, that can get pretty loud, get this thing. It is AMAZING. Perfect amount of bass. It is ported, which gets you deep resonating lows, which is what I wanted. It can get pretty loud, but not loud enough to shake the windows on other cars outside the truck. IMHO, it is a great sub for our trucks (SuperCrew), or any for that matter.

Here is the sub: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1369313...08LG-W3v3.html

And the Amp I use: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...ony-XM-1S.html

I spent $550 for this sub used, the amp new, two kicker tweeters, and the install of everything.

It made a WORLD of difference in my truck. Night and Day.
