Default Need help with tire offset.

Hi, I'm new to the forum but i regularly am on here checking it out.

My question is: My truck is currently at the shop right now getting a 6in BDS lift installed on it but the guys who are installing it say that my 35x12.5 toyo open country tires on american eagle 050 series rims wont fit? they have a 4.530 backspace and -4 offset they are also 18inch rims. I hear of people running -12 offset with the same lift? they claim that the wheels will rub so bad that they will damage the fenders? im starting to think either i got the wrong rims or these guys are trying to up sell me into buying coil overs for my truck (they claim that they will make the lift fit properly) what do you guys think?

I had mickey thompson 33x12.5x17's with 12mm offset rim on my truck with no lift at all

I could have had 35's with level kit only. I don't know why yours wouldn't fit with 6" lift... not sure

BDS should have the specs on the approved wheel's for their lift...check with them. A 9 inch wide wheel with 5 inches of backspace should be right on a 17 or 18 inch diameter wheel.
