Default need help coming back from the darkside!

need some help i had an 04 f150 fx4 regular cab then i made a switch to the dark side 05 tacoma 07 tundra and trading in 09 wrx for an f150 i hope. My prolbem is im having a hard time finding a xlt supercrew with a 3.73 limitedslip, is there a big difference between the 3.73 and 3.55? my dad always told me to get the highest possible? just wondering how much the 3.55 lacks? Any help would be great thanks/!!

It is my understanding that the 3.55 in the '09-'10 model trucks is equivalent basically in terms of towing power and stuff like that to the 3.73 in the '04-'08 model trucks. I don't think it should stop you from buying a truck that otherwise has everything you want.

Stay with the Toyota. Anybody that can own more than one of them will find reasons for not liking a Ford.

I owned an 05 FX4 with 3.73 gears. Now I have a 2010 Lariat with the 3.55. The Lariat is way more "snappy" when excellerating than the 05 ever was. Both have the 5.4 liter engine. I've been scratching my head trying to figure it out. Both engines are rated the same for HP and torque by the book but the Lariat is far superior. Must be the new 6 speed and possibly the "fan delete option" on the 2010 models? Unless you very frequently tow heavy loads (greater than 6000 lbs) the 3.55 will be more than enough.
