Need help with 17" rims please
I have a 2011 SCrew 4x4 and want to run a 315/70/17 on it. I have added 5100s at all 4 corners and have the fronts on the top setting. Will a rim that measures 17x9 w/5.25 backspace and 6mm offset allow me to run 315s without rubbing? I was going to run 17x8 w/5.25 backspace and 25mm offset but the "boss" doesn't like the rims that I originally chose. Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys.

I just put a set of Raptor take-off's on with 285/75/17 Nitto Duragrapplers, same overall diameter as your BFG's. No rubbing at all. I was pleasantly surprised. I bought 5100's planning to need them. Decided not to and instead am going to put a true 6" lift on. Good luck!

Thank you.
Also, do you know if more or less backspace would keep them from rubbing? I have it narrowed down to 2 rims and one is 17x9 with 5.25" BS and the other is a 17x8.5 with 4.75" BS.

why do you want such miniature rims? anything smaller than 20's look silly on these trucks. Unless you plan on turning it into a mud bogger or something I dont see why anyone would want such small rims, lol!

sounds to me like hes just trying to increase his overall tire size, and my question was why 17s? I know for a fact that rubber for 18s costs more than rubber for 20s, so I would assume rubber for 17s would be even more. Since hes asking for offsets hes obviously not got 17 inch rims now and is looking to buy the correct ones. Its his truck and he can do it whichever way he wants, but I would get 20s and a tire that meets his overall size want and it would be cheaper. I just want to know why he wants 17s, which from my understanding is the smallest rim size that will fit due to the calipers. Is it because he wants a large tire and doesnt know the 20s route would be cheaper? or does he want massive rubber sidewalls for extreme off roading? Im not trying to tell him what to do, Im just curious for his reasons for wanting 17s as it seems to me to be a very strange choice for these trucks.
