Came across a guy today that had a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/60-20 in the back of his truck. The shop he ordered them from ordered the wrong size so they reordered him the same tires in 295/60-20. These tires that he is looking to get rid of have 1000 miles on them. How much should I offer him. He says he has $1100 invested in them but I can get a set online for $919. What should I do?!!?

i would go no more than 600-700$ bones. Used is used. I would explain to him that what he paid is irrelevant, you can get a brand new set for 900 bucks so it supports you used cash offer

He didn't notice the wrong size when they came in? so they mounted them and he used them for 1000 miles before ordering the right size?

He was going on a trip and his tires were terrible so he said put them on until the new ones come in. The shop he purchased them from are the ones actually trying to sell them because they screwed up and are going to have to eat the loss. I just talked to the guy at the shop on the phone and he will not budge. He said he wants to get as close to what he paid as possible. So I will let him sit on them and take a $1100 loss. Glad it's not me lol

Are you including shipping in that $900? If so send me a link please $919 through onlinetires.com is the cheapest I found them but that's not including shipping

ahh i see. i was just basing my info on what you typed in.. if shipping is going to cost you 100$ or so, it wouldnt be a bad idea to pay up to 800$ to buy that guys set and just avoid the hassle and save 200$ or so. but id still try and negotiate for 700$
