Default Near Top Speed

I used a spare key the other day and hopped on the interstate. Nearing 70 mph my instrument panel read "Nearing Top Speed" or something similar. What causes this? I don't even know if I can set top speed on individual keys.

That was lazy of me to ask a question instead of getting up off my rear and going outside to read my owners manual :

I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or rude, it kind of seems like it, but I'm going to assume you are not. My comment was not either of those as I was just answering your question and giving you a detailed resource about something you didn't know about. I didn't know about it at first either.

Sounds like your spare has a parental lock of some sorts.
