Default Navigation system

I have a 2010 F150 Platinum and have a question about the factoryh installed navigation system.

One of the buillt in restrictions is that once the vehicle is moving > 5 mph, you can not enter addressess in the destination mode. I understand the reason -- it does take away the driver's attention from driving to enter the information however it also rules out the passenger doing it.

Is there anyway of overriding the restriction/ ( I know my old Garmin had the same restriction but you could override it.

There is a device called a "sync lockpick" by a coastal tech. You hook up that up to a few wiring harnesses, and you have full control. Gets rid of the speed limit on text input, viewing texts, watch DVDs while moving, also lets you manually switch to the rear view cam, and a few other things.

Default Thanks - Sync lockpick

Appreciate the information. Looked at the item and it sure does what I want but at a nice price $239. You would think than someone would come up with a loadable dvd that would modify the software rather than having to hardwire the changes.

Again thanks for the information.

I would think that too! Gotta be some tech somewhere that owns one of these trucks, and has also hacked the map updates, heh. Let me know if you find either, cause i want it too!
