N-Fab nerf bars?
#11
Do they double as rock rails? Not that I purposefully try to hit rocks with my truck, but I am continually surprised at how "low" my truck is compared to my old one...
As evidenced by my accidental high-center.
Would be nice if there were more under-truck protection options out there for our trucks.

They'll protect your rockers from small rocks and road debris, but if you hit a rock large enough to lift the truck, it's just going to bend the bar and/or rocker.

Are you sure these only mount to the rocker?? Seems pretty flimsy to me. I was thinking of getting there but not if that is where they mount. Even the factory step bars mount to the frame I'm pretty sure.

nope factory steps mount to the body too, I was very surprised when I got a set off craigslist and went to install them. I just thought running boards would be to the frame, but not the case.

First Tiger of G.R.O.S.S.
I have the oval Chrome steps, oem, and they are mounted to the frame.... they would bend if I tried to use them as slides... buy at least they are frame mounted.
Too bad, like the look of them.

I've been looking at these too - Autoanything.com has them for $400, free shipping, and you can usually get 10-15% off with a promo code or calling them. That's the cheapest I've found for part number F0996CC

N-Fab nerfs look good. I like the factory nerfs and I actually put spacers when installing because I rather have idiots that swing their doors in parking lots to hit my nerfs and not my panels!
