I routed the wire down the a-pillar and then under the steering console. I couldn't find a switched power source so I tapped into the power pedal switch.

As far as I know none of the trucks come stock with the extra tint at the top of the windshield. I had my windshield replaced when the truck was only 3 days. A large rock from a dump truck hit right in my line of sight. The replacement windshield is available with the extra 4" tint at the top.
