Nice truck! Looks good!
I'm in the same boat! 12-13mpg on average lately. Speedometer is spot-on with my 33" Toyo MT's and 3.73's.
I know you all think it's funny, cause all you guys are used to GASOLINE engines.
I came from two Dodge Cummins diesels in a row which still returned 18mpg highway, 15 city regularly with 35" Toyo MT's and 3.73's.
I was sold on the Ecoboost hype until I had one. I thought it would be more efficient than a V-8. Looking back I'd get a 5.0. I don't see a benefit to a boosted gas V-6. I think a 5.0 would get better mileage because it has to work less to maintain the same speed (say 70mph) compared to a boosted six.

My 2012 XLT 5.0L 4x4 SCrew gets around 18 to 22 mpg on the hwy now that she broken in, depending on wind speeds, wind direction and whether I am driving into or out of the hills. Into the wind, into the hills is lowest, out of them with a tailwind is best. I get a little over 17 on the commute back and forth to work.
A guy at work has a 2" level and 35" Duratracs on stock 17" wheels on a 2011 XLT 5.0L SCrew 4x4 (the same setup I plan to do), and gets 17 to 18 MPGs on the higway and 16 commuting.
Seems the ECO would do better, but I have heard alot of people say they don't get the mileage tehy were hoping for.

As to the MPG; I learned with the addition of larger, heavier, tires (35" Toyos) it was a trade-off between the look I liked and the optimum MPG.
Also, some of it could be due to calibration of the odometer with the larger rubber; but the weight alone will rob you of a few MPG.
And then, with the EB, most likely you have the tendency to dip into the boost; which would make a significant MPG difference too?

The rich start to get the cats lit doesnt get amortized over the trip when they are all short for one.

Short trips, stop and go driving and a heavy foot really hurt fuel mileage in an EcoBoost.
My 2012 6.5 bed screw with 3.5 rear end got up to 19.3 lifetime mileage when I was making long trips. Now that I am staying home and mostly short trips it has dropped to 19.1 lifetime. I drive for mileage and still make one long trip a week that I average 19.5 to 20 mpg but on short trips it only does 16.5.

I have had mine now for almost 1000 miles and lifetime I'm getting 16.8 right out of the box with my EcoBoost! It's all in your driving. I have never seen my average below 16.2 mpg and its only starting to continually creep up as I drive!
