did you just cut out your old muffler and put this one on, or did you remove the cat as well?
I cut off my old muffler, installed a magnaflow and left the cat alone..... it sounds fine at idle and under 2000 RPMs but when I step on it - it sounds like crap!

Muffler was made to replace stock muffler only.you leave resonator and cats in place.the mrt muffler and pipe that comes with it is made a little longer than the stock muffler.thus it can be bolted on or welded in place.

Yes, I would also love to see a video clip. I've been looking around to see if I could find an exhaust that I like for my eco. I don't need anymore power so its really just about sound and appearance for me. It's not easy to do with the ecoboost like it is with a V8. Plus I don't want to spend a lot to do it since wife and kids pretty much wipe out all of my toy money these days.

Check this system out. I had a local muffler shop do it for right at 300, plus 4" double walled chrome slash cut tip-30$. So, 330$ total, and I think it sounds pretty beastly for this v6. It has a good deep tone, all the way through the rpm's and has no drone. A exhaust note can barely be heard at cruise and highway speed, but no drone. it's a 22" Magnaflow with the resonator removed, stock cats, and it the factory resonator section was replaced with a 3" SS pipe an a 3" flex pipe. Now it is a full 3" all the way through. PLEASE, let me know what you think.

I really like the way it sounds. Its always hard to judge with sound clips but it sounds like a nice tone, and not so loud that it will wake the neighbors at 4am. Do you happen to know the Magnaflow part number that you used? I'm guessing it is the center/center #12579?

The price is right for a setup like this, but I'd still have to find a good muffler shop that I trust.

It sounds good throughout the entire rpm band! And from what I've looked at, yes, that is the
part #. At cold start up it is very throaty for about 15-20 seconds, but mellows out shortly. When I had left the resonator piece on, it was almost as quiet as stock, and from the way mine sounded, both me and the muffler man believed it would sound great removing the resonator and replacing the 2.5" with 3". Perfect sound for me, and I'm sure a bit better flow opening up that section to the 3". Thanks for actually looking at the video. I've been trying to get some feedback as to what some members think, and have only gotten a handful. So, thanks!

Pretty much the same as i have done. Bit with a 14 inch magnaflow. In hindsight, prob should have put a bigger muffler on it. As she can get pretty loud pushing the skinny pedal
Your setup seems nice and mellow...easy on the ears.

Sounds good, you should do a video of some driving from inside/outside so we could hear what it sounds like under load.

Thanks! I've pondered the idea. I will have to try out my camera and see how it sounds. I only recently got a YouTube account so I could post that, so I'm a bit of a newb, so be patient. I'll post the results on my thread: "a few new mods", as soon as I can do so. And prob here. But I didn't want to muck up the OP's post. :-)

Indeed. I'd like to hear your exhaust. A 14" has to scream with no resonator. :-)
