Default Mounted my Galaxy Note 10.1 using proclip

Installed my tablet in the truck a few days ago. I love the positioning of it as it work great for music (bluetooth audio) and maps. Also torque pro of course. Has anyone else mounted a large tablet in thier truck? Im not talking about the custom in dash ones, but a mount. Any must have apps? Im new to having a tablet in the truck so forgive my ignorance. Thanks!

Can you post a pic of where it's mounted to the dash? And do they make these for phones?

I don't have any other pics handy but this is a link to the mounting device.

It uses the useless little cubby to the right of the center stack. Proclip makes holders that will mount in various places that will work for any iPhone with or without a case.

This is awesome! Thanks for sharing! I am waiting to receive my Proclip holder for a Nexus 7 running DashCommand and connecting to the truck using the OBDLink MX Bluetooth adapter. I'm planning on hardwiring power to a switched source to keep the tablet charged and leave it installed.

How well does it hold up to bumpy roads?

It is rock solid. Actually, it is more stable than I expected. I would not hesitate on any proclip product if they are all as robust as this. My tablet is no lightweight, and it handles it with ease.

This is something I've been looking at ever since I found out my truck can't have the iPad dash mod because of pain in my *** sync. The only issue I was worried about was theft, aren't you guys worried about something smashing a window just for the tablet or do I just live in a sketchy neighbourhood? Haha.

Well obviously one shouldn't leave a tablet in their vehicle in plain sight.

Not a concern for me in my area.

I have dark tinted windows and always have an exact fit sunshade installed if I am not in my truck. I take it out if I will be away from the truck for a while, but honestly you cant see inside my truck when it is parked in broad daylight. Mitigates the concern, but doesn't eliminate it.
