Motorcraft shock choices
So I am looking for new shocks and started checking out a Ford OE parts catalog (online). I am seeing several different part numbers for shocks.
Does anyone know what the differences are between the factory shocks my 2010 4x4 Lariet came with and those for the FX4? Im wondering if they are more heavy duty or something.
The price of new OE shocks are pretty hard to beat, like between $75 and $90 bucks each. Bilstein and Rancho's are well over $100 each.
My Heavy Metal leveling kit is sitting on my work bench while I try to decide what shocks to go with. I am swapping them out after 42,000 miles since I'm going to be pulling the strut assembly out to install the spacers. Doing 3" blocks in the rear as well.
