Default Moonroof controls

I took my truck to the dealer to fix a door ding about 3 weeks ago. Finally got the truck back today, and the moonroof/sunroof wouldn't open. Buttons didn't seem to have any effect (no attempted movement like it was jammed).

I couldn't tilt it or slide it back. I couldn't get the shade to move forward either. After screwing around with it for a few minutes I was able to get it to tilt, but then it was stuck until I got home.

More screwing around when I got home got it to tilt back down (countless pushing of the forward button did the trick, though it did go up and down a few times like it was hitting something). Once I got it down the shade started closing on it it's own. (Memory from me pushing the shade close button several times try to make it work?)

After all that I can tilt and open/close both the moonroof and shade fully. However, I need to hold the button to do it. Before taking to the dealer 1 momentary push opened the glass to the first stop, or closed it. Now I have to hold the button until it's fully opened or closed. So while it functions again, the controls are different than when I bought the truck. WTF?! I don't recall seeing options for that anywhere in the settings.

Sounds like the motor forgot it's positions. You can try relearning it. Or have the dealership do it. If you are interested in doing it let me know and I will copy down the process for you. It's kinda sucky to do you have to do it a few times to get it right most of the time

If you have the time, that would be cool. I mean, I got it working last night. It finally opened, closed, and tilted fully. It just doesn't do one-touch/automatic open or close. I have to hold the button until it's fully opened or closed. That's what confuses me.

It acts like the power windows if we didn't have the auto up/auto down functions.

Thanks. Didn't help, but maybe it's because I have a 15. Thought I was in the right section when I started the thread. Apparently not. I get as far as the shade moving to the middle of the panel (half open) and it stops.

There could be an issue I would recommend taking it to the dealership and have them check it.
