I have a 2009 FX4 with power adjust side view mirrors, no turn signals, no puddle lamps, not heated. I want to upgrade these mirrors so I have power adjust, turn signals, puddle lamps and heat. I do have a rear window defroster. Can I just I purchase an upgrade and just plug in or will I have to make some modifications. Thanks in advance for any and all information.

Who knows if your truck will be the same but mine gained the signal feature just by plugging in. The heat feature worked after I upgraded my a/c control head to one that has that button.

 

Here, i made this awhile back. You already have the rear defrost, so you won't have to change out the climate control like i did.
