Here are my pics .I mistakenly deleted my pic of the signal lit however everyone knows what they look like by now.

My truck does not have the signal in the mirror facing the driver , I purchased a 3 amber led strip with the white for the front .I didnt want to stick it on the surface of the mirror thought it would look crappy. I have stick on convex mirrors (that look bad enough) so I popped them apart and scraped 3 dots of the mirror coating off on the inside and taped the strips so the leds will shine through. I only thought of this after I put the main mirrors back in or I could have done the same with them. However I got them apart once without breaking them and I wasn't going to tempt fate and try it the second time. After seeing the pics on the computer screen I should have tidied up the garage before I took the pictures.

It appears to be some glare with the mirror ones, is it that bad or is it the pic you took? I do however like the idea of them behind the mirror, great job!

Nice meeting you too, Mike.
No problem with coming by to take your truck apart, ha ha.
I still have to to scrounge up the diodes and resistors to complete the job. I am also adding some tweeters to the door panels, so I want to do all the mods at the same time, to limit taking the door panel off.
Just going to add the diodes and resistors inline, they're small enough to tuck anywhere.

Nah, just bad cell phone pics. My regular camera makes the file to large to upload .

Tweeters are definately needed. I have a full set of door speakers and subs that need to go in my truck. I'll probably wait til I have everything collected for the several projects that are planned and make a weekend out of it. Most of the stuff doesn't take long, they just keep adding up. Like you said, it would be best to minimize panel removal.

I finished wiring the leds. The black box works just as expected.

I was having one problem. After completing the project, I tried testing it. The front parking/turn signals and the two sets of leds in each mirror would not work. The rear lights were hyperflashing. I tried redoing the black box but it kept doing the same thing. It turns out that when I disconnected and connected the plugs at the sjb, the problem was fixed.

Thank you iamsuperbleeder.

where did you tap into the factory lines to get your signal wires going into the black box? are you sure you didn't get you + and - inputs switched around? I can see how that would really mess the situation up

I used the same ones you did. The blue wire for driver turn signals, yellow wire for passenger and the purple for the running lights. I had rolls of 16 or 18 ga power wire. I used blue for blue, yellow for yellow and red for purple.

I didn't disconnect the battery so it could have been that. I just wanted to give my experience in case someone is having a similar problem. The solution could be easier than they think.

Just drill holes and run the wire through rubber grommets so it doesnt get cut, I took the plug apart and there is no way to run a new wire through it that I saw. Someone correct me if im wrong.
