Default Michelin vs BF Goodrich?

Offered a set of Long Trail T/A's for $300 less than Michelin LTX M/S.
What do the people who have run Goodrich tires think of them?

I have a set of BFG Long Trail T/A tires on my 1977. I went with the XL load rating because I tow a TT. I have no complaints.

Long Trails have mediocre reviews on Tire Rack. I'd go with the Michelin LTX M/S2 (much better than M/S).

Ran those BFG's on two different vehicles I really like them, and recommend them.

Goodyear and Michelin have always been good to me. I've got KO2s on the 150 as I type. Can't wait for them to wear out, they will not be replaced by BFG. If I couldn't get GYs, I'd have no problem going back to Michelin, I've had around 4 sets, IIRC, of the LTX.

Cant go wrong with either of those brands. Arguably the two best tire manufacturers right there.

My 2013 came with the Goodyear. After about 22,000 they were at the tread wear markers. They were not a particularly good tow tire either because of sidewall sway. Have had the Michelins for about 18 months. They have been much better in all respects. They are more $$$ but time and mileage will be,the deciding factor.

Don't judge GY by what came OEM. Those are junk, just enough to get the truck home.

I've got Goodyear AT with Kevlar on my '13 4x4 SCrew. Currently have over 60,000 on them and have at least another 8 to 10,000 left. I don't tow anything other than a 21' 5000+ lb. boat. Definitely much better than the OEM tires. They work very well on the street wet or dry, excellent in sand and not too bad in light sloppy stuff. Just my experience.

I had KO2s on my old truck and absolutely loved them on and off road. What do you not like about them?
