Default Metric or English?

Just bought a 2012 F-150. My first pickup truck in 40 years. Want to put together a toolbox for the truck. Searched the forum(s) and couldn't find answers to these questions:

(1) Is the hardware all metric, all English, or a combination of both?

(2) What (if any) non-hex (e.g Torx) bolt/screw heads are commonly used?

(3) Any tools I might not think of that you really need for working on these trucks?

All help appreciated. TIA.

Thank you. I'll start putting together a metric toolkit.
