Question Metallic Rattle In Dash

So over the past month my truck has been developing a metallic rattle in the dash that can be heard while going over bumps. It was hard to reproduce initially, but fast forward to today and it's pretty consistent when driving on rough roads and it's quite annoying. It sounds like it's coming from the driver's side somewhere around the steering column or behind the cluster, I'm just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this before and could give me a quick pointer on what is probably loose before I tear into the dash and start my search for what's loose and rattling.

Unfortunately no, I keep my truck pretty much empty because I hate rattles, I drive my wife nuts with my complaints. She'll set her phone or some sunglasses in my cup holder and after hitting one bump I relocate them to the back seat of the floor where they won't rattle against the hard plastic, she doesn't understand why it bothers me.

On a side note, I always get annoyed when customers bring their cars in for me to find rattles because half the time you'd swear they live in their cars there's so much junk in them, I can hardly hear the noises that bother them over all the half empty bottles and trash rolling around on the floor, you'd think people would at least clean their cars out to quiet them down before bringing them in for a subtle noise complaint.

Too much rock and roll has killed most of my hearing, at least that is what I tell the family! I would be useless for finding a noise! Good luck!
