Default Mass air sensor question

Greetings!
I am new to this site and I am glad I found it!
My question is, I have a 2010 F-150, with a 4.6 litre V-8. I want to relace the stock air filter with an K+N. According to the owners manual, I have to remove the mass air sensor before I can remove the top of the air cleaner. Do I unscrew the the screws or is there a way to unclip the clip.

Thanks!

IDK why you'd need to remove the mass air sensor, you should be able to just unplug it by just undoing the clip. After replacing the filter though make sure you reset it by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery.

X2 on what he said, I do not believe you would have to do much. If your putting the whole CAI on I still dont think you would need to. If your putting just a drop filter there should be no unplugging required

You do remove the MAF in both ways for a CAI (I had to when I put mine on, clip and screws to remont to the new tube). But if just a filter swap you shouldnt have to remove the MAF...just unclip the top of the air filter box and remove the old filter and drop in the new one.
