Default MAS Inition Coils

Has anyone used MAS Coils, and would recommend on a 2010 4.6 2v? I know that alot of people say stick with OEM but given the cost I wanted to weigh my options. I would be getting OEM plugs with them as well.

Sorry to say but I tried NGK and another brand (can’t remember name) and they both died earlier than my older oem ones. Lesson learned for me. Only oem from now on. Oreillys has them and cheaper than the dealer.

There is no reason to "upgrade" on a stock 4.6 or even the 5.4 unless you add forced induction.

Oem is more than enough for even a mild forced induction setup. 6 psi.

I don't have the details in front of me but existing (I assume OEM) coils seldom fail and can be tested with a volt/ohm meter. After market coils, at least in my experience, are inferior and have a higher failure rate. The rubber spark plug insulators do fail in high mileage OEM but these are relatively inexpensive to replace.
One problem that I have experienced is failure (rolls up and tears) of the red rubber seals in the coil electrical connectors causing the connector to not seat properly (does not "snap" into place) and cause misfires on that cylinder. They need to "snap" into place.
Don't throw your old OEM coils away.
I have been unable to locate a source for replacement red rubber seals and after market replacement connectors do not have seals installed. If you need to replace the connector, de-pin the old connector and re-install the pins in the new connector thereby eliminating the need to cut and solder the electrical leads.

I purchased a set of these on Ebay a year ago and I closely examined them and determined them to be identical in every way to my genuine coils, including the paint mark on the connector end. They have been working great for me. I paid more for them than this current auction sells them for a set of 8. Less than the price of two of them from the dealer.
