Oh the History channel is the worlds worst. Maybe it is just me but Swamp People has to be the worst. They obviously don't know the difference between a mud motor and a outboard. It will talk all about how he needs his mud motor then show the same guy 10 seconds later in a outboard rig running down a channel or him pulling in a gator in a completely different boat. If you want a good laugh watch the show one day and watch how poor of a job they do. It kills me to watch it cause I notice all the little details so easily I guess.

Yeah history is the worst. I love how they hype everything up, they show a commercial of something minor and act like someone died.

Anybody notice the startup sound? Hahaha...watching this is a little bit like Heidi Montag's *****. Interesting to watch, but deep down you know it isn't real.

I own a ice fishing g resort on mille lacsake. We pull 15,000 lb fish houses with our trucks. They are not on wheels. They are 10x28 and similar sized houses on 6x6 skids or similar steel tubing. We pull them from our lot 1/4 mile down a highway to the access to the lake. An ecoboost will surely full that big fig no problem given It has traction. Thing going against it is it takes weight to move weight and in a case like this an extra couple thousand lbs makes all the difference in the world. We do not pull with straps or chains with straps because they stretch and u need that Initial pop to get the momentum. When using a strap its easier in the truck etc becaus u do not get that Banging jerk but issue is that it takes one hell of a strap because they stretch so much. Its like a doing **** effect. You ever see the ford commercial back in 2002-2003 of the super dutys pulling fish houses on an un named lake. That was in mn on a local small lake. We worked with ford to set it all up but they wouldn't let us pull lol. Had to be professional drivers. My 5.0 pulls/drags my personal 8800 lb fish house down the black top no problem in four low. You would be amazed at what these trucks can do. Yet we have never take. A transmission or had any drivetrain mechanical breakdown in 19 years of pulling. We have one 2004 super duty with 230k on it and its still original drive train. We even put county dump truck tandum axle size v plows on them for plowing on the lake. This commercial don't do any of these trucks justice. A chain is the only way to pull something like this with a truck like that u less it were a 14" strap because of the stretch. High grade 3/8" chains flat drag hundreds of our houses every year with out failing and they range in weight from 1,000- 15,000 lbs. I. Many cases they get flooded with water coming up thru the ice and freeze down in. We just slap tire chains on and a quick hard jerk. These trucks can pull a lot more than most people realize. That big rig would t be a problem give. They have any traction. I do it on pure ice with matt tires all winter long. Most cases no tire chains.
