Major annoyance: 2010 FX4 passenger seat squeaks
Like many of you, I probably spend a good deal of my time driving alone - which, unfortunately for me, leaves my front passenger seat empty most of the time. In the grand scheme of life it's not a big deal, but the squeaks emanating from the empty front street are driving me mad.
I have a 2010 FX4 with the luxury pckg/leather. As I am driving down a smooth, smooth road its solid but as soon as there is a hairline crack in the road and I roll over it the passenger size squeaks and shakes a bit. Adjusting the seat (electric adjustments) doesn't help, having a butt in it (passenger) does.
Frankly, my dealer is inept and the lack of attention to detail is astounding - so I am wary. I would rather hear it from you guys, on what a legitimate fix might be, and then instruct them verbatim on that fix or to take it to a another dealer with some knowledge in hand.
It seems petty, I know - but I guarantee that it would drive all of you guys batty having to listen to this all day long.
My guess is something to do with the springs/heated seating coils, maybe loose when not under tension.
Only saving grace is that when a lady is sitting next to me and they say, 'nice truck' I can say wholeheartedly, 'it's even better with you sitting in it'.

hey i had the same problem with my truck it was very annoying, theres a TSB on the Ford flex for this but not the F-150. Its the seatbelt bolt take it to the dealer they take the bolt out and put some grease or somethin on it then put it back in it fixed my problem.

i had this issue too and it drove me crazy. I fixed it by just spraying some wd-40 on the reclining joints on the seat. Reline the seat as far back as possible, then you will be able to get at the pivoting joints. Spray wd-40 or grease or whatever. It fixed my issue.

I will take a stab at it myself and if that doesn't do it have the dealer look (directing them towards the problem, of course).
