Made the Chevy>Ford jump..Bought a Platinum!
Been a Chevy Man my whole life (other than the Lightning I owned in 2000) and just made the jump over to Ford. Picked up my 2011 Ford Platinum on Monday and absolutely loving this truck so far!! I traded in my 2007 Regency conversion Duramax 2500. Test drove the EB and the 6.2 before purchase. Went in leaning towards the EB but left with the 6.2 after driving both. Nothing at all against the EB as I think it is a great engine after researching and driving but there was just something about the power and sound of that big V8 that sold me on it. Only thing I dont like are those huge tow mirrors that come standard with that engine. Tried to get the dealership to swap them with the standard folding mirrors but they wouldnt budge. So, if anyone would like to trade please let me know. South Louisiana
I am absolutely loving this truck so far and looking forward to using this forum for insight and ideas in the future.
MSRP was $52200
Paid $41500 after X plan and rebates
Loaded Ingot silver 2wd
6.2 V8
Sony navigation and Moonroof
Grey interior

This the truck I traded in by the way...She was fun while it lasted but with my wife now pregnant for number three, diesel being sky high, and my instant love affair with the platinums , it was time for her to go....

Thanks for compliments yall!
Now im looking into add ons of course. Already smoked out the windows like I do on all of my vehicles. Looking into some good floor mats right now. Also, want to add on an exhaust soon cause I know it will sound sick, dont want to void my warranty just yet though.
