I posted this in gen dis. Before I saw this one....Loose mirror at the pivot point,not at the door. How do I tighten? F150 xlt 2010

 

How loose is it? Does it just wobble more than the passenger side on the highway (according to this forum this is normal if you have the blind spot mirror in the corner, as this makes the driver side assembly heavier than the passenger side)? Or do you have a serious problem where it won't maintain any position (falls/sags to bottom of housing)?

 

The pivot system is a fixed spring mechanisim . As far I can tell there is no adjustment to tighten. More than likely the mirror housing needs to be replaced
