Default Looking at a truck, need opinions

So I saw this at the local Chevy dealer the other day, thinking of swinging in for a test drive tomorrow:

http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail...nal&listType=1

First thing that strikes me is that it does not have backup camera or sensors, yet does have the brake controller. I've seen how I can add the camera for 600 bucks or so, and even the sensors if I wanna drill into the bumper. The 991 at the end of the price is how this dealership indicates the vehicle will be going to auction/another dealer if not sold very soon. Its also one of those no haggle dealerships, one price and thats it. I would, of course, love to get it for less considering I would need to throw close to a grand at it to get the camera and sensors and spray in liner, plus it will need tires soon.

Is it absurd to offer them 29k out the door? I know the worst they could say is no, but tomorrow is the last day of the year and all.....

Tires looked pretty good in the pics, it has a bedliner but I know its not spray in, and I don't know why anyone would want a backup camera or reverse sensors in these things, they aren't quite monster trucks...

It seems a little high to me still. If its non-negotiable type dealer then they probably will say no, but you also said its a Chevy dealer which I've never known to be non-negotiating.

I'd try to get it down lower than 29k. Its two years old, close to 30k on the odometer, no leather, no camera or backup sensors as you stated. I'm not seeing what's worth the 29k... It was probably 42ish brand new and from a dealer you could've probably negotiated it down to 34 with no miles on it.

Funny story, I went to a dealer that's on his side of the city to pick up a part for the parts guys at the dealer I work at, and my old truck was parked in the service lot. It was there having the transfer case rebuilt. It was still there when I went back a week later, with the driveshaft in the bed.

When he was buying the truck, I had all of my records printed off and in hand, and he just skimmed through them to make sure that it didn't have something crazy done like an engine replacement. So, I'm not too concerned.

I'd just go to Lithia Ford of Boise & get a brand new one for less than 2k more... I bought mine on Dec 4th & they had a bunch of 5.0 screw cabs with signs in the windshield for 31k...
