I bought a 2010 stx 4x4 supercab for $17,900 with 83,000 miles on it. It's the 4.6l 3v. That was over a year ago she just hit 88,000 miles. She's been trouble free. I went from an 04 fx4 with the 5.4 and it sounded like a diesel. They fixed the cam phasers and spark plug issues in 08 so you should be good with the 5.4 in the 09-10 years. Just check carfax's and see if you can find maintained history, test drive and you can make out with a hell of a good truck. Good luck.

Im pretty sure its expensive. I know when i was going to replace in my 04 it was going to be about 800 or so to do it myself. Replacing the vct solenoids and timing chain and everything.
