Default looking at the AutoSpring 2" leveling kit

is the offset just a gimmick or do other 2" kits hit at full droop and these won't? install shows removing coil over shock, can you not rock it over after the top is out and bolt it up leaving the bolt in the bottom. just seems unnessary to me, of course i haven't done it before.

Default Just installed mine on Friday....

Thought the same thing, but no joy. In fact, had to drop the lower control arm on the driver side just to get that one installed (with the spacer on top). The passenger side went in with just loosening of the LCA.... The angles on the ball joint are great and I'm super happy with the install. Took it in for the alignment today, they told me it was "way out".... But I knew that on Friday night!

Good luck (and great choice)!

You will definitely have to remove the coilover to install the spacer on top.

How about just pulling it down using a spring compressor then sliding it over to bolt the spacer on saving time - getting ready to put my 2" auto spring lift and add a leaf-

That won't work.

You have to completely remove it because of the alignment method they use it requires the strut to be turned 180 degrees.

Yes, the strut is rotated 180 degrees in order to allow the spacer to be bolted on top. Essentially the spacer attaches to the top of the assembly, then the spacer uses new bolts to attach to the truck. In order for this to happen, the geometry of the spacer and bolts require it to be rotated do that the original books and the new bolts are not "stacked" on top of each other.

For what it's worth, I just had their 2.5" kit installed and I'm happy with it. The kit shipped quickly and appears to be well made. I couldn't get the shock back in with the spacer on so i had to pay someone. I think I paid $120 plus an alignment. I haven't looked really closely to see if I should have gone with a 2" kit for it to be perfectly level, but it's close enough or just a touch nose high.
