I live in El Paso, TX and there are lots of the Lobo/ F-150's here. It is a mexican bought truck. Alot of our trucks or parts are assembled in ol mejico anyhow I am pretty sure. Im betting it's a marketing thing with the Mexicans. If you say F-150 literally in spanish, it sounds terrible and doesn't flow off the tongue like in english. However, try saying es un Pinche Lobo a few times and it has a nice ring to it. Hence the Lobo. Im not sure what that means but I hear the guys round here say it alot. Another thing they will do is add options on vehicles you wont see in America either. For whatever reason, an XL can have leather or you might see a regular cab lariat because of their buying habits there compared to ours. They typically will go for the short bed regular cab fully loaded over the extended cab or screws because they have smaller streets and more shootings anyhow. At least thats my theory on it...
