Default limited slip differential

I want to get a limited slip differential for my:
2010 Ford 150 XL Reg Cab
4.6L 2V EFI V8 Engine
Electronic 4-speed automatic overdrive.
the vin claims its an 8.8

Anyone have any suggestions for a Ford or aftermarket unit?

I have looked at this on Ford 8.8" Eaton Detriot TrueTrac 913A561 | 31 Spline
http://www.drivetrainshop.com/Detroit_TrueTrac_p/eat-913a561.htm
Is this a good unit?

I have used Fords unit, the Trac Loc, for years, and from FRPP it'll cost you about $275, plus labor to install - it's an improvement over the open differential, and will help you not get stuck, and not be using 4WD as often -

On my 2011 I just finished having an Eaton True trac installed, and I really like it so far, even though it was a good deal more expensive than the trac loc.

I did a long-winded write up on my True Trac - my truck has the bigger 9.75" gear, so it cost bunch more for the bearings -

Detroit's True Trac is the best limited slip I've ever used. I won't hesitate to put one in a street rig.

I would double check your rear axle before ordering. make sure you actually have an 8.8 and not a 9.75. if you already have, disregard my comment. just tryin to save you some hassle.

I too, wonder how I can retrofit a limited slip onto my 2010 XLT regular cab (same engine configuration as the OP). The 3.55 open does ok in the snow, but always wanted a limited slip rear end.
