Default Lights on Lights off?

2013 FX4 ...How do you tell if your head lights are on?
I can't find an icon and neither can the dealer.
Is there anything on the dash that tells you?

My dash lights dim as well. Or I can always see a reflection of the lights in front of me?

I always have my fog lights on too. Easy to tell the head lights are on with a glance at the orange icon.

Some people have automatic headlights so the switch never moves

If you have Nav, it will dim when the lights come on.

On my 2011 the dash lights dim depending on the light outside, not necessarily with the headlights.

As mentioned above, with auto lights, I leave the fogs on so I can see the orange light on the switch to tell when they are lit.

My question relates to this so...

Today for example the weather was foggy and cloudy... common sense says turn on your headlights but the auto headlight sensor does not agree so I that's the reason why I always use them on manual (as it was intended dammit) but if the auto sensor doesn't think the lights should be on but I turn them on anyways my dash lights do not light up until it gets dark enough for the sensor to think they should be on.

Did that make any sense? So far it's the only thing I found to complain about this truck. Not bad
