Default Lifting 2WD???

Ok everyone go ahead and nail me to the cross for asking this but I would really like some more height on my truck. I have already put a 2.5 Level on but im thinking of taking it off and putting a real lift on. I dont go off road and I dont do much other than daily drive but I love the look of a lifted truck. So my question is, are there any major negative issues of lifting a 2WD other than people making fun of you? Ride quality? Suspension? Body? Average cost? Manufacturer? I dont want to use a ladder to get in but maybe a 3-4 incher. Any advice would be great.

Rancho imo. No adverse effects of lifting besides slightly accelerated wear on front end parts due to larger tires. Mpg will take a hit obviously. A gear swap would be beneficial for longevity of the drivetrain.

Nothing (mechanically speaking) that is "worse" about lifting a 2wd vs a 4wd. Besides, i'd rather see a lifted 2wd than a lowered 4wd.

Baja makes a 4" spindle lift that you can use with your current leveling kit to get even more lift out of for a total of 6.5" in the front. Throw a block or rear spring in the rear and your golden.

Why would it be wrong to lift it just cuz it's a 2wd? If you like the look, go for it! Lots of drivers on here that can help you pick a good setup. Post a pic or two!

Do it! I love mine. I'll love it more when I get an Eaton/Detroit Truetrac locker and 4.10s put in.
