Leveling kit vs Stock... side by side pics
ghoyt you'd be correct about my rake, and dadsKR is not wrong. theoretically that's what a truck is made for, work. not everyone uses em that way, which is just fine. i happen to also tow, hunt, and farm...so the rake keeps me somewhat level when i need to be. the extra height helps when driving through corn fields or along some of our muddy/ rutted side roads between fields getting to hunting spots...etc. that's how i reasoned it to my wife. really, i just think it looks badass like Cambo said! but the other stuff happens to be true too.
One other consideration that's kept me stock. . . If you occasionally need to park in a parking strucutre (hospitals, hotels, theaters, etc.) the extra height could make your life more difficult. At 6'11" in height, my stock 4x4 seems to fit everywhere (some are a closer fit than others). Any lift and you're possibly out in the cold.

True, but even my truck with a 6" lift and setting on 35's is under 7'. That's what has kept me from going another couple inches and on up to 37's.
Royally Screwed
Good pictures and great looking truck. I love the towing mirrors on a lifted truck and think they also help the truck look bigger.
pulled in to my favorite bakery for coffee and a donut early this morning and sitting there all backed in real purdy like was a stock 10' Lariat black granite screw 4x4. So i thought i'd take an opportunity to back mine in (2' level 09 xlt screw 4x4) and get some side by side shots for comparison sake. So... for all those wondering, leveled vs stock, ... here ya go.
