I specifically changed only the level on my truck and not the tires to determine if the ride was different. Again, the only change I made was 2.5" front with 3" rear block. From what I can tell it rides no different. The only thing I seem to notice now is more axle rattle in the rear end, but to me the truck feels almost identical to before the level. I do notice that the steering seems to have less resistance on it, so the truck almost seems to drive easier... but that can be good and bad... and an obvious indicator that the ball joints will wear faster. But... all the reason to go with camburgs when they wear out.

cents amounting to two.

It may be the new tires that people add that makes for a rougher ride...leveling spacer should not change the ride.

Which kit, and how did you surmise that the sound problem has as its root cause your leveling kit?

Default Leveling kit - Rough ride?

I believe that metal to metal sound that most hear (& if you notice the consensus also says its at full lock) are the "steering stops" hitting each other. The lower control arm is now pushed farther downward & does not hit the same spot as the stock position does. This is an "expect it to happen" noise when doing a level.
But I believe this is what everyone hears.
