Default Leveling Kit Install and IWE

I know this has been beat to death, but I am trying to decide if I want to install the spacers myself or pay the $200 for the shop to do it to prevent any screw ups. I have a 2013 4x4 F150.

I am not the best with mechanical work, but am good enough to follow a video. I was able to successfully replace an intake manifold gasket and can obviously do regular maintenance.

I am not well versed with suspension and would like to do the level myself to learn more and essentially know it was done the right way, but I am afraid of screwing up the 4x4 because of all the IWE issues I have read about.

Is there a way to install the level without even messing with the IWE components to ensure I don't screw anything up? I have found a couple videos but honestly don't know whether they involve messing with the IWE or not because I honestly barely understand which portion it actually all works with.

I did my bilsteins by lowering the LCA by removing the two bolts that attach it to the frame. I never touched the IWE and was able to do it.

Probably will not screw it up anymore than paying someone to do it. Just take your time and watch You Tube videos if you are doing spacers. I used AS 1.5" spacer and got 2"s of height, personally I wouldn't go any higher. Auto Spring recommended no more than 2" spacer even though they sell higher lifts for our trucks.

I think as long as I just disconnect the upper ball joint and the steering stabilizer, then pull the shock out, all while not messing with the cv and axle itself, there would be no way to mess it up, right?

My plan was to get 2" of lift in the front so that would be perfect.
