Default Level Kit = Incorrect fuel reading

I was just thinking, by leveling our trucks, do we cause incorrect fuel readings? I am sure that due to the angle of a stock truck that the fuel tank is level with the vehicle. Once we raise the front end, does it alter what the fuel guage reads? Just curious and I am sure some of the tech members here may know the answer

I kno my drive way makes my truck level which when I turn the key on it makes me have way more gas then when I start it on level ground. If I back my truck in the driveway then I have way less gas then I Acually do. So in my opinion like most cars the fuel pickup and fuel float is located in the back of the tank so if you level your truck then it would Acually make you have a more correct reading and get more usable gas out of ur tank on level ground.

ok, so if you pull in and its level it reads high, if you back in it reads low then you conclude that a level (which would be similar to you pulling into your driveway) would be more correct than stock? wow, just wow.

if its properly calibrated stock, then yeah, leveling it sure could make it read 'off'.

if that was the case then, whenever you towed a heavy trailer and the rear squated down 2'' then your gas gauge would be wrong then too, right?

I can't say my fuel gauge read out has changed, but the grade level on my off-road app has. Before I got my leveling kit, my app would show some hills as 0 and now they show up as grade 1 which is what I thought they were in the first place. Just about every hill is a grade higher then what it used to be.

Wouldn't make a diffrence. The ground is not dead level or flat. At least not in my city.
