The other issue I have is the step is quite close to the bar. Normal street shoes fit but wear a boot ( I wear muck boots) and they dont fit. Just that much less surface area to step onto.

I had those briefly. They look good but the slim profile makes them somewhat worthless when getting out of the truck- you can't see them. Replaced them with Amps.

I like the fact they don't stick out much, good info though, good to know, thanks. I'd definitely get AMP's if I were keeping this truck for more than a few years though, next truck will have them.

The thing I like about solid running boards is the rock protection they give. My tires are wide, and even with flares I need those running boards to protect the paint. If it weren't for that, I'd put AMP's on right away!
