Bilstein 5100's set at top groove. 295/60/20 Terra Grapplers. No rubbing, no trimming.

I am new to the IFS world ( had an '04 F250 before this), are the bilstein's of yours just shocks or is it a strut/ coilover kit?

They are just shocks. They have 4 grooves on the body of the shock. There is a c-clip that you put into any of the grooves. The bottom groove is stock height all the way up to the 4th groove which is 2.25" lift i believe. Once you have placed the clip into the groove you want, you slide on a plate that the stock spring sits on. Once you have set your clip, slide on the spring plate, slide on the spring and put the strut back together you are ready to install the strut.

It's a very simple process, but i highly reccommed you use a shop that has a hydrolic spring compressor if you don't have one. These stock F-150 springs are pretty heavy duty. Using hand spring compressors that you can rent from auto parts stores are fairly dangerous to use.

Im thinking of ditching my 2.5" top spacer for the Bilsteins! Is it a big difference in ride quality, pot hole studder bumps etc...Also I would like an additional inch of rise up front. Could I run the +2.5 Bilsteins with a custom 1" spacer up top and Cambergs upper A-arms or is ther more in the geometry to worry about other than the upper arm ball joints??? I would like to keep the 1 1/4 block out back, just want more up front without going to a full drop down bracket 6" lift...
