- Scuff with 3M sanding sponge
- Wash in hot soapy water (to remove any release agent)
- Clean with alcohol
- Bulldog Adhesion Promoter, 2 coats
- SEM Trim Black paint, 3 coats.

On my blue '05 I had a silver empire decal under the FX4 decal... it was a bit too flashy. This time around I'm going "shadow" on the whole truck. Slowly removing dumb badges (like ECOBOOST) and blacking out others.
I got the decal from a guy on ebay. He has custom made many different ones for me. That one is a 12" matte black. ($12 for the pair) I took off the FX2 sticker and placed it right even with the tail lights. I love that fact that it's so subtle.

Thanks, I'll have to check them out.
Wonder if I could get the "off road" as outlined letters, rather than solid. If not, that's still way better than the stock decal with the squiggly crap all over it.
