I have seen plenty of leds in the bed but I hadn't seen them in the tailgate shining on the step. I thought I would share. I spliced into the wire going from the switch to the leds on the other side of the bed and then went through the grommet in the bottom of the tailgate and fished the wire up to the step opening. I hope this helps someone out I think it turned out pretty good.

Just joined the F150 family, sealed the deal on this awesome '14 5.0L STX SuperCab! New to me with 11k miles, first new (to me) truck. Had a few Rangers and more recently an F250 Powerstroke, decided to settle in between with an F150!
Taking it home Monday, can't wait to be able to start making it mine. I probably won't start modding until late Spring since early Spring (day 2) brought us more snow. At least I know the 4wd works from the test drive! Might do some small mods between now and then like speakers and stuff. I plan on doing all American-made mods... the only exception being audio stuff, I can't seem to find anything made in the USA in that area.
I've been lurking in this thread for months, and I'm glad to finally have something to post here!! Seen some awesome trucks around here, great stuff.
