Likely a bad winter tire if you have snow ice and hills, however I've gone through winters without issue on nearly bald AT tires before. 4x4 and driving experience help immensely. It's amazing how much better actual snow tires are though, they kinda take all the fun out of winter driving, haha!

M/Ts are typically too wide to be great in snow, they float and don't get as good of traction as thinner a/t or snow tires, as well as lacking siping for ice traction.
