those will sound great when you get em in

I just installed Polk db571 speakers in my door today. Plan to add an amp, and a powered sub via the kicker plug n play set up. The difference is pretty noticeable just with the speakers. Spent $130 so far.

Those look good, but if I add a sub it will be just 1! Plus I don't want to lose all the space under the seats.... I don't want to be heard when turning in the neighborhood, just some bass as there pretty much is none now!

its a little under the seat at the top and is flush to the seat depth at the bottom. I too was striving not to something stick out. and I'm right at .65 cut ft for the box. I curved the box to add some flare and I plan on using a mix of carpet and carbon vinyl. ill snap a pic with the seat down tomorrow.

i put in kicker door speakers today. i have a 500.4 kicker amp that will run those. for the two 12" subs i have the kicker 1000.1 amp to run those. it will be loud enough to be heard however it will rarely ever be turned up like that.

While I'm not a big Pioneer fan, thinking of using their slimline sub under the seat. Not one bad review, so I'm thinking this powered by an Alpine or Kenwood amp.
I purchased this head unit from crutchfield. It is a very nice unit not really any complaints.....some of the menu's take a lot of button presses to get to. And I had to call customer service to figure out how to make it play through anything but the front speakers when streaming Bluetooth. After 10 minutes the customer service rep found the setting for me. I kind of wish I would have spent a little more and got one that was touch screen. But for 199 dollars this is a great head unit with hands free, and Bluetooth.

As promised pics of the box with the seat down. I left a little room just in case I needed to raise it for more floor clearance.

I was able to fire everything up today and oh man, does it feel good to have the bass back!

sullyman, the kit I bought had a 17ft cable that just gave me a few feet to play with on the passenger side rear wall to mount my amp. 20ft would be perfect for any location on the back wall.
