The Teflon wax is awesome it just gives the truck a better shine and feel that's why i do it last, and the next day i always use a spray detailer like miguiars.

If your truck has some miles on it and has been exposed to harsh weather, you should consider a clay bar treatment before waxing. You'll be surprised at the difference.

I agree. Claying is a huge help.

I'm going to be polishing mine today. There's a very popular detail company here in Southern California that has a chemical called Powerbuff 6000. I use it on a medium cut or finishing pad on my dewalt buffer, depending on how bad the paint is oxidized. It starts as a gritty compound used to clean the surface of oxidation. Once the grits have been broken down by the heat and friction of buffing, the chemical acts as a finishing polish, bringing out the shine in your paint. 2 steps in 1. I love it.

I did my usual 4 step polish/wax process on my truck a couple days ago.
It's a lot of work but the results are worth it.
