Default LED cube lights

I'm about to mount some led cubes in my lower grill opening. I used to have a 20" bar in there, but started retaining water, burnt out diodes, etc
I'm looking for pics of how you have bolted them. I know there is a thin piece of metal under the plastic, but I'm not sure if it's strong enough to keep the light from bouncing.
Thanks.

On the top side of the opening there are two holes where the front license plate bracket mounted too. They are thin but more than strong enough to mount some cubes there.

I do not have pictures, but mine are mounted off the bottom. Its a thin enough piece of steel that it was easy to drill through, yet tough enough to hold them steady.

I have had both cubes and the 20" bar over the last two years, and neither one has shown signs of moving while i travel.
