I had issues with my drivers side seat but it was different than yours. After an exhausting three months I was able to get my seat cover replaced however by looking at yours it looks like the dye is coming off. I would suggest you take it to the dealer and explain your issue. More than likely they will bring in an expert leather repairer and see if they can fix your seat. This is actually a required step in the process and Ford won't even consider replacing the seat cover until this step is completed. I'm not a leather expert but by looking at your picture I believe it could be repaired. Question though, do you wear any rough jackets/coats like jean jackets or something similar? Or when getting out of your truck do you rub the seat back bolster excessively? I only ask because it really looks like the dye has rubbed off...sorta like an old pair of shoes. I understand your truck is fairly new being a 10 and I'm not trying to be a pain and I'm just trying to get you ready for the dealer because getting Ford to replace the seat cover is just about impossible.

I second that. Lexol works better than anything. I used it on my saddles and now on my truck seats and has kept them in really good condition so far.

For leather seats you really need to condition them once a month. Also, coming from daily driving a mustang with thick bolsters, you need to adjust the way you get out of your seat. Think how long your skin would last if some stinky 230lb dude was scraping across you four times daily.

You guys are 100% right it is a nightmare to get ford to replace seat covers, I have a 2012 with 1600 miles and only drive the truck on the weekends and my pass side seat has some marks in it and I told the dealer 1 day after I took it home. The service manger told me ford would not replace them. They told me they had to take pictures and send them to ford and it would take 10-12 weeks before they reviewed them. I am thinking about changing all the leather to katzkins..

What's funny is the new seat cover's bolsters are made of what appears to be thicker leather. The new driver's side doesn't feel the same and actually the bolsters feel like thicker leather?

unless you have the KR leather(uncoated), conditioning is completely useless......the other leather offered(more like vinyl) is a coated leather, so the conditioner wont even touch the leather..........i clean my leather/vinyl seats regularly with a 10:2 mixture of woolite and distilled water and they still look good after 15k...cheers

I've found that LEXOL keeps the leather nice and soft on all my leather car seats....
According to the owners manual for the King Ranch, Ford recommends the King Ranch brand leather conditioner. So far I've gone through two bottles of that in 1yr. And on that spot, I've put it on thick. Granted I am not going to change how I get out of my seat as I do "slide" out and probably not going to lose weight any time soon either. But I've had leather in a Dodge and Toyota truck doing the same way and never had the leather do this. I thought when I paid premium dollar for this King Ranch, that the leather in them was top of the line and what makes this truck different. I beg to differ....

2 weeks after my truck was in for service, I get an orange card in the mail from the dealer. My special order part was in. But I didn't order anything special. Called the dealer and they said, you're new seat bottom cover is in. Dropped it off this morning and now I have a brand new drivers seat bottom. Cheers to Ford for fixing this for me, because I hated looking at that seat every time I opened the door.
