Default Leasing 2013 FX4 Questions

Hello all,

Long time lurker here - just wanted a few opinions on the matter of leasing a 2013 FX4.

I contacted the dealership and asked how much it would cost to lease a 2013 ($35,341 after rebates, $43,590msrp) FX4 to which they responded that it would cost $8,000 down for 36 months, 12,000 miles with $467/month payment.

Now, I don't have $8,000 for a down payment to lease. Does this sound about right? Thanks!

$8,000 down and its still that much for ur monthly payment?! Sounds awful to me. With that kind of numbers, I'd rather buy it

That has to be the worst deal I've ever heard! Run away from that dealer.

Ditto

Terrible deal

My 2011 FX4, with a MSRP of 44,990 is $439 a month with the lease insurance deal, 10,500 miles a year and $2000 down

I'll never lease again!

Even if you get tired of that truck in the 3 years you leased it, you are still obligated to pay the entire contract.

I tried to trade out of a lease..... "Sure, you still owe XX months on your lease, you still have to pay that".

Not so much of an "early termination fee" anymore. you're still obligated.

If you're near the last 3-4 payments on your lease, sometimes they will let you out of it, as long as you buy or lease again.

GM at one time had a "pull ahead" which forgave your remainining 3 payments if you bought or leased a new one. Not sure if FORD has that or not.

I agree leasing really is not a good deal, better to buy.

I guess the other question is "what's your credit rating?" Those numbers sound terrible!

I get x-plan pricing. I pay $430 a month with ZERO down on a XLT screw 5.0. It's a 2012. 12000 miles per year.
