Default Lease experiences?

Did anybody here lease their F150? How was your experience? Would you recommend your dealer? What kind of residual/money factor did you land?

Thanks!

I leased my 2012 F150 STX about a month and a half ago. It was a great experience. There were $2000 in rebates plus the $750 email rebate and I traded my old truck witch I received over $1000 for. All these go as a down payment and they kept my payments below $350 a month. I will be doing it again next time. I like having a new truck every few years and if I bought a truck I would not want it long enough to pay it off so this kept the payments even lower.

Up until now ALL my new vehicles had been leased. A cominbation of factors made that the case. I've always done reasonably well on them. My 08 XLT was a 4 year lease that I acutally came out of with about 2 grand in equity, which I rolled into my 2012 (purchase).

As long as the term makes sense and you can keep from miling the hell ouf of the truck leasing makes sense, but of course that comes down to a personal decision.

In my opinion if ur someone who gets sick of a car quickly and or likes that new car smell leasing is the best option. I bought my f-150 only because I bought I with 10,000 miles for an unbelievable deal and oy ended up financing about $12,000 but its now 3 1/2 years later and I'm at 50x miles and the value keeps going down. I love my truck and going to have it for a while but next time around ill probably pocket the sale of my truck and lease the next generation. It's usually 0 interest and low payment. But some people see it as paying all that money and after 3 years having nothing to show for it, to each there own as long as you get the best deal that works I see it as a win!

The only problem with leasing is when you like to add things to your vehicle. You can never recover the cost of your modifications when your lease terminates. I never had this experience but a buddy was actually charged a "recon" fee at lease termination because they removed the off road lights he had installed. I purchased my most recent Ford but have leased 3 or 4 Toyotas in the past and it allowed me to have much more vehicle for the monthly payment. Just make sure you don't go over mileage allowance, that .10/mi. adds up faster than the ecoBoost can go 0-60!
