Default Leadframe part# A, or D?

Website shows both fit my 2012 F150 3.7 6R80, according to the vin?
This has my brain twisted. Makuloco shows the "D" one on his video.
The Ford website makes it sound like they are interchangable?

Also does the foam strip seal between the solenoid and the leadframe come with the leadframe? Or do I have to order it separate?

The information you posted clearly says the D Replaces the A. I'm not sure what the confusion is

The last number in a ford part number is always the revision. Usually if everything else is the same, they are compatible.

So the revision must be the D which is the first one I was going to buy. But why would they be selling the A.......? Especially if it is an old revision, and show it at the same price as the newer part........ For whatever reason the A number part just showed up as I was navigating the site. That was my confusion, as well as why an old version would come up on my search for parts on the site.

I guess my ADD wants to make sense of this. But I will just get the D revision. Thanks

Even though its listed for sale it may be old stock or counterfeit if you are looking on ebay or amazon.

Buy the latest revision from a local or online Ford parts seller or rock auto. I went through this recently when I needed a boost control solenoid. The latest revision had a nice crimped metal band over a seam on the part that the original didn't have. Bought it from a Ford parts dealer in LA.

When I have ordered either from fordpartsgiant or fordparts, they have always sent me the latest part, regardless of what I ordered.

Yes I'm lining up to call the online dealer to get the latest one "D"? I will also ask whether the foam solenoid strip comes with the leadframe. Somebody said the leadframe they ordered came with it. It is $24 so I don't want to order unless I need it.

Also I will order the pass through case leadframe wire connector, and the seal between the valve body and the trans case. Rock Auto does not sell OE leadframe. At least not OE. I try to price Rockauto even if I don't order from them. Thanks guys

I sent for a quote to my dealer. They quoted me $718, but it includes filter, pan gasket, and 12 qts fluid about $232 for that.
So about $486 for just the main leadframe parts......ouch

I asked for the best price.....translation full retail.........

Not a big dealer person, but if that is all in labor and tax, looks good to me. Dont they also have to re program?
